Top 5 strangest places where people lost their phones
At one point, we’ve all been there, searching every pocket, every drawer of our desk, and every centimetre of our bag, hoping to find the phone and refusing to admit the obvious: we lost it. And then the journey begins: call your number! No one answers or the phone is already off. Back to the store you shopped from before coming home. Not there! Back to the bench in the park where you stayed for two minutes to catch your breath after carrying the heavy bags. Not there! Maybe you lost it in the subway… And then there’s no other way to fight the thought that the phone is gone. Forever gone! But where did it dissapear? Here are 5 of the strangest places where lost phones were found, according to www.mobileinsurance.co.uk, a phone insurance company:
- In a wall.
A builder in his 30’s from Stockport reported his phone as lost, but later called to withdraw the phone after a customer got in touch with his firm to say that they’d heard a phone ringing inside the wall of their new extension. He’d left it inside the wall cavity and the customer was kind enough to let him remove the phone and patch the wall up.
- Underground, literally!
A man from York, who happened to be a keen gardener, found his mobile phone that he’d originally reported as ‘lost’ beneath the soil in one of the flowerbeds in his front garden.
- Even more morbid than the underground….
An undertaker from London reported his phone as lost, but called the next day to withdraw the claim after finding it inside a coffin, next to a body that was supposed to be buried shortly afterwards. What if the phone started ringing during the funerals?! Creeppy…
- When the phone gets hungry.
A 19-year-old woman said that the phone she had earlier reported as lost had actually turned up in her fridge, next to the milk on the middle shelf.
- In search of knowledge.
A lady from Cambridge who had reported her phone as lost later withdrew the claim, after she received a call (on her landline) from the local library to say that they had discovered the phone sandwiched between two books in the non-fiction section.
