5 things to do between Christmas and New Year
Christmas is gone and New Year is only a few days away. That’s exactly why nothing seems to be happening, the time stands still. Christmas enthusiasm is over, but you don’t feel ready to do something exquisite. Nor are you ready to try to become the great version of yourself you decided you want to be in 2017. So, what to do to avoid boredom, but to keep the joy of Twixtmas (that’s the fancy name of the the period between Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve).
1. Spend some time reflecting on what you’ve learned this year
2016 was quite challenging! But every challenge has a lesson to teach, that sometimes, during the busy everyday life, slips away… Try to find the time to reflect a bit on what happened this year, what went well and which were the moments you should analyse better, to absorb some wisdom for the year to come.
2. Set resolutions for the new year
The next step which makes sense? Set resolutions for 2017. Maybe you can resuscitate the old one, drafted in December 2015. Quit smoking, go to the gym, save money on your phone bill… We can’t help you with the first two goals, but you can definitely count on us with the savings… Check out Tello’s Build Your Own Plan option.
3. Spend quality time with your loved ones
Holiday season is all about spending time with family and friends, catching up and sharing stories. And you can dedicate each day to a different group, so they can enjoy your full attention. Thus, the premises for a new year surrounded by friends and laughter are set. 2017 already seems friendlier, right?!
4. Do your shopping for the New Year
Remember all the buzz before Christmas? Well, its younger, but noisier brother, New Year buzz, is about to come. So, don’t leave shopping for New Year for the last day, because you may lose all the holiday mood between the shelves crowded by all the people in a hurry…
5. Movie marathon
A true movie marathon means watching 26.2 hours of movies, just as a marathon race is 26.2 miles (42.2 km). Buy maybe you can settle for a half-marathon. Comedy movies, thrillers, maybe TV series you fell in love with this year, as 2016 was pretty generous with the movie industry.
Above all, recharge your batteries, ‘cause a new year is about to start and it has a bag full of surprises for all of us.
